Bondi personal trainers Luke and Scott wowed My Kitchen Rules judges Manu Feildel and Pete Evans last night to become the first team in the show's history to walk away with four prefect scores.
Serving up a meal of zesty prawn salad for entrée; twice cooked spatchcock with coconut kale salad and roasted cherry tomatoes for main; and spelt berry macaroon tart with crème anglaise was a hit with the judges and their fellow contestants.
The clean living, healthy eating team believe nutritious cooking can be just as delicious as foods higher in sugar and fat content and now they believe their scores justify their way of thinking.
Scott says: "It's an unreal feeling – it took a while to completely sink in to be honest. Before MKR you don’t have any true idea of how well you can cook as the only judges are your friends and they often aren’t brutally honest. So receiving perfect scores cements our place in the competition and gives us confidence."
Adds Luke: "We never claimed to be perfect at anything we cook, as we can always learn and improve, but these scores really justify why we are passionate about healthy cooking."
The previous record for perfect scores in an instant restaurant was two.
MY KITCHEN RULES airs Monday-Thursday at 7.30pm.
