Greater Shepparton City Council will host this year's Goulburn River Valley Regional Familiarisation tour.

The tour, organised by Shepparton's Visitor Information Centre, will visit some of the region's most iconic points of interest.

Stops include Moooving Art, Shepparton Art Museum, Victoria Park Lake, KidsTown, Tatura War Time Camps Museum and the Goulburn River in both Shepparton and Murchison.

More than 60 volunteers and staff from across the region will be involved in the tour.

Shepparton Visitor Information Centre Coordinator Maree Glasson said she's looking forward to showing off some of the region's most exciting spots.

“The Visitor Information Centres across the region work cooperatively to cross- promote each destination to visitors,” Ms Glasson said.

“All Visitor Information Centres across the region are staffed by volunteers, and the best way for them to get to know the attractions in each region is to experience them firsthand.”

The tour will be held on Tuesday, 13 September.
