The VIC Regional Achievement and Community Awards are to encourage, acknowledge and reward valuable contributions and outstanding achievements in regional and rural areas.

The focus of the awards will be to highlight businesses, organisations, groups and individuals that enhance the social, economic, commercial and environmental prosperity of regional Victoria.

PRIME7 and The Weekly Times are the Awards Media Partners. Together PRIME7 and The Weekly Times commit significant resources and promotion towards the success of the program. Natalie Forrest, PRIME7 Newsreader hosted the 2010 Awards ceremony which saw over 300 guests attend from across the state. The winners of the Regional Development Victoria Business Achievement Award and Regional Development Victoria Trade and Career Achievement Award winners each receice an air time package to promote their business courtesy of PRIME7.

Nominations for the the Victorian Regional Achievement and Community Awards have now closed. Again this year there has been an overwelming response across all categories.

Judging of the Regional Achievement Awards will now take place on August 31st. The judging panel will include representatives from award patrons, presenters, sponsors and community leaders who have or are making a valuable contribution to regional and rural Victoria.
