About us

Founded on the Gold Coast in 1996, Paradise Kids provides counselling services to young children and their families who are experiencing a traumatic situation. Whether this is the death of a family member, illness, separation or any form of grief, we aim to help heal the heartache. Our trained counsellors and volunteer "buddies" assist children who are affected by grief, loss and illness and focus on allowing the children to express themselves in a safe environment. The loss of a family member or loved one is an extremely difficult and heartbreaking time for anyone and can affect our current and future behaviour. At Paradise Kids we take a holistic approach to address all aspects of the child – body, mind and spirit. We instil valuable life-skills that can assist children to move forward through grief with confidence and an inner-peace that can be maintained in times of change.

How you can help

Paradise Kids relies solely on community support and does not receive government funding. We are able to provide our services thanks to the generosity of businesses and individuals. Paradise Kids stages various fundraising events throughout the year that are open to public ticket sales and can be selected as the charity beneficiary for local events.
