Camp Quality esCarpade, Australia's wackiest motoring adventure, is revving up for 12 – 19 October 2012 when 80 quirky vehicles will travel from Newcastle to Canberra.

The aim is to raise an engine-busting $1.5million to help Camp Quality create a better life for every child living with cancer in Australia.

esCarpade is the culmination of months of fundraising by dedicated and hard-working fundraisers committed to making laughter the best medicine for children living with cancer and their families. This year, a fleet of 80 comical cars will cover 2,500 kms.

Along the way they'll meet truly inspiring Camp Quality families and pull into towns in a fanfare of sirens, horns, water cannons, lights and colour in true Camp Quality style.

The entrants will also visit local schools with the McDonald's Camp Quality puppets. The almost life-sized puppets will perform a version of their fun and educational play designed to help children become more aware of the need to be caring and supportive of people who have cancer.

This year esCarpade sets off from Newcastle on October 13 and passes through Muswellbrook, Mudgee, Orange, Forbes, Lake Cargeligo, Griffith, Jerilderie, Wagga Wagga, Culcairn, Tumut, Jugiong and finally finishing in Canberra on October 19th.

The dress-up gets better each year with Super Mario Brothers, Nuns on the Run and the Flintstones regular fixtures. The cars are also stars of the show, with a Rolls Royce, 1962 Pontiac, Kombi van, and cars disguised as a shark, an octopus and 'the booger mobile' participating this year.

Camp Quality's programs support children living with cancer and their families by building optimism and resilience, providing them with tools they need throughout their journey with cancer and beyond.
