A 49-year-old man died after a motorcycle crash in Jindabyne.

Police say the motorcycle was travelling south along Barry Way at 5.10pm on Sunday when it veered off the road and flipped.

The rider was thrown from the bike and suffered critical injuries. He later died.

Cooma detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
