Are You Digital Ready?
Between 2010 and 2013 Australia will be switching to digital TV. This will happen progressively across Australia.
Digital television is currently available in many areas of Australia. You can use mySwitch to confirm exactly what services are available in your area and when your region will be making the switch.
You can also call the Digital Ready Information Line on 1800 20 10 13. The line is open from 10am - 8pm, 7 days a week.
Reception Issues?
PRIME7 covers a large and diverse geographical area. Every effort is made to ensure signal strength is optimised for our viewers.
There are a number of factors however that can lead to poor TV reception. These can include:
- Weather conditions- Inadequate antenna or antenna system
If digital reception is poor or unreliable at your house you can refer to the Digital Ready website here.
If you are concerned about your antenna or antenna system, we suggest having it inspected by a reputable, local antenna installation expert who is endorsed under the Federal Government's 'Antenna Installer Endorsement Scheme' to restore reliable reception.
A list of endorsed installers is maintained on the Government's Digital Switchover Task Force web site - www.digitalready.gov.au.
An endorsed antenna installer should be able to measure digital television signal levels, and recommend ways to improve or make the most of your reception. The endorsed antenna installer should also be able to offer advice about:
- antenna selection- choice of correct cables, connectors and distribution equipment.
To find your nearest Australian Government endorsed antenna installer go to mySwitch, type in your address, hit "search" and then click the "More Coverage Information" on the left hand side of the page. This will direct you to a link for endorsed antenna installers in your area.
