Kambah man charged following school burglary

An 18-year-old Kambah man has been accused of breaking into a school classroom and stealing items.

Police say the St Thomas Apostle primary school in Kambah was broken into between 5.30pm on Thursday, August 2 and 5.30pm Friday, August 3.

A teacher had noticed several items had been taken from the room.

Police investigating the burglary raided a Kambah home at 9am on Tuesday.

Police will allege they found items matching the description of items taken from the school.

He has been charged with aggravated burglary and theft offences and will face the ACT Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
